Mr Blighty buys an inflatable

Just a quick post tonight! I wanted you to see what happens when you ask a man to buy a paddling pool. I caught Mr B looking somewhat shifty when he came back from Homebase.

Poor Mr B. He was convinced the pack included the beautiful (blow up) girl. That will teach him to read the small print in future! He was so hoping for some "summer escapes."

But look on the bright side Mr B. At least it came with a puncture repair kit.

P.S. have you ever seen an more unlikely photo? "Mother" looking on adoringly in fetching swimwear while two offspring sit sedately in pool, indulging in some gentle waterplay. It's just like that at our house. Ha!

  4. Gotta say Blighty this posts heading got my attention!
I have a vision of you and Mr B {G & T's in hand} Boy 1, Boy 2 and possum sitting serenely in the inflatable to cool off during a English summer.
'Summer escape mother' looks more like the sister.

  5. Could you fill the pool with a fun beverage and use it as a giant punch bowl?

That way you could either drink from it or swim in it.

I am the one with good ideas today :-P

  8. Oopsy, Straightjacket on Saturday's post. I'm a bit behind reading blightyblog, because I'm right down at the bottom of Aussie at present, in the Victorian skifields (no snow, but plenty of rain). Life gets on top of us Queenslanders when we have to visit Victoria. Do you have issues like this in Great Britain?
